IPL Job vacancy announcement for receptionist (Deadline February 18th, 2025)

Institut Pasteur du Laos (IPL) is a Lao National Institution under the authority of Ministry of Health. IPL has received a mandate to fulfill activities of public service: Research and diagnostic on emerging infectious diseases and vector borne diseases / Training, Education and Capacity building / Technical assistance for investigation of epidemics.

IPL is currently looking for a:

RECEPTIONIST

The Receptionist will work under the supervision of the Executive Assistant and will support her in managing the different IPL administrative tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcoming visitors or guests at the IPL main entrance
Insuring the registration of the visitors on IPL register and keeping records of visitor badges
Setting up the IPL meeting rooms whenever necessary
Helping to organize projects meetings outside IPL
Answering the IPL main phone line & transferring the calls to laboratories or services
Following up all documents submitted to ministries (delivery, pick up, transfer)
Preparing the overtime calculation, and monitoring the approval process
Checking the mailbox at the Post Office
Following up the transport vouchers related to IPL vehicles
Performing secretarial works under supervision
Taking part in any other specific activities as designated by the Executive Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills
Excellent communication skills
Good level in English (writing and speaking)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
Having the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks
Hard working and sense of organization
Good ability to work in team

Experiences
Previous working experience in similar position will be appreciated

Vice-Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Institut Pasteur du Laos represented by H.E. Minister of Health Dr. Bounfeng Phoummalaysith and Dr. Philippe Buchy, General Director. A groundbreaking ceremony marked the launch of the construction of new laboratories at the Institut Pasteur du Laos for a total amount of 837,000 Euros. Number of Lao and foreigner Officials attended the ceremony.
